Ostomy Bag

An ostomy bag is a bag that attaches to a person's abdomen and collects stool or urine. People who wear ostomy bags usually have colostomy, ileostomy or urostomy.

The ostomy bag can be part of a one-piece or two-piece pouching systems.

A two-piece pouching systems consists of a flange (also called a wafer, mounting plate or baseplate) and a pouch (bag) that is attached mechanically or otherwise to the flange.
